Excellent primer on sustainability
By Secluded Path
This is an excellent book on sustainability. It is very comprehensive, incredibly well informed, thoroughly researched, well written, easy to understand and to the point. It is astonishing how much information the author has managed to pack in 370 pages in such a nice and understandable way. I would say it is the best primer on sustainability out there right now.
There are a few minor forgivable glitches, like allusions to poor and underdeveloped "countries in the southern Hemisphere", despite the southern Hemisphere is actually half of the planet with many different countries (not all of them poor), problems and regulations. Also, places in the US are referred to as "city, state", but places outside the US are just given as the country, as in "hot places such as Egypt or Phoenix, Arizona" (pag 185), which could be changed to a more egalitarian and international format such as "place, country". Of course these minor issues do not diminish the value and importance of this great book but perhaps are worth a thought for the second edition.
